Who would benefit most from a BNI Chapter?

Let’s just intelligently walk this through.

For businesses with LOTS OF COMPETITION

Thanks to BNI’s unique “One Person per Profession per Chapter” policy, you earn a cartel seat in the chapter where you’d have no competition. You’d certainly benefit from everyone referring you business. Who fits this bill? Financial advisors, realtors, printers, florists, designers, caterers, premium gifts, car workshops, cleaners, trainers etc; in fact, just about anyone who could do with some exclusivity and away from their fiercely competitive market.

An example: There over 100,000 life insurance consultants in Malaysia and assuming there are only 50 BNI Chapters where only one consultant is allowed in each Chapter. That would mean that only 50 out of 100,000 would have the opportunity to present and educate a large number of established business professionals for as long as they remain a member of the organization. This could prove to be an extremely potent way to establish a “nest” for a steady stream of quality referrals.

For businesses WITHIN A CARTEL

One of the first few things new members are being taught is the concept of “Power Teams” and “Contact Spheres”. This is where a focused team will work as a virtual company - a cartel. Business will naturally flow between the team by virtue of their common target market. Who fits this bill? Whichever business that are in the second, third or fourth step of a business process.

An example: If a wedding planner engages a client who is about to be married soon, it would be natural that the wedding planner could easily refer the services of photographers, printers, caterers, make-up artists etc. This would spiral on to business for the realtor, travel agent, insurance consultant and so on.

For businesses with LITTLE OR NO COMPETITION

BNI is not short of businesses that are very unique, often one-of-a-kind type of professionals - hot-air balloons, construction chemicals, magicians, neuro-scans, crane builders, aesthetic dermatologists, conflict management consultants and other specialized services. These businesses are so unique that most people have not thought about using them. Even those who have heard of them, have no idea how to locate a qualified professional. These businesses will most certainly benefit from having many extra sets of ears on the street listening for potential clients.

For businesses with BIG TICKET ITEMS

These are professionals who would only need a few clients per year. But to get those clients, they’d need a proper introduction. Typically, they’d need to be at the right place at the right time. Who fits this bill? Architects, turnkey contractors, aircraft sales, distributors etc.

So who would benefit most from a BNI Chapter? My guess is, YOU!!
