Rachel Low - Import & Distribution (Natural Products)

I started my business in importing and distribution of natural products with very little knowledge and experience in the industry and rather tight capital too. With a limited advertisement budget, I tried multiple approaches to increase sales. Fortunately, I successfully built a consumer database by word-of-mouth and planned my way to expand my business by distributing to organic shops. Yet, my daily rejections sound like this: “…very hard to sell without advertisement… Thank you but NO!” said potential resellers.

One fine day, a friend invited me to BNI. I truly believe in word-of-mouth marketing and since then, started to grow my business with BNI. I participated and learned the BNI systems (60sec & 10min infomercial, dance, workshops, etc). Through BNI, I know many chapters’ members who have given me transacted business deals, great publicity and visibility.

As a spin-off effect from BNI, now I hear most of the potential-resellers say: “…I’ve heard of this product and brand before…” It certainly help in many ways when potential-resellers said that! The ratio of closing these deals is over 50%.

Reaching out is easy but reaching out to the right market need strategies and skills. BNI WORKS!
